Or “Why the church is correct not to teach Re-incarnation”
When you talk to many, either in church or in spiritist circles, to explain the difference between spirit and soul, they are not able and without thinking any further use both as synonyms.
However these two concepts always existed side by side, because they mean two very different concepts. I give it much attention as I know that in our culture their confusion is the basis why we do not understand the difference of spirituality/ informational and soul-work/ religious practices. Also this will make clear the proper use of the CoRe as an informational tool and not as a religious tool.
The spirit is the software that we incorporate in a body and just like the software that can be re-installed in a new computer a spirit can be re-installed or re-incarnated in another body. Religions like Buddhism and Hinduism have apparently made this process a central topic – although it is not.
Christian teaching has never given this question much attention and consequently many new age thinkers hold that this is a defect of Christian religion. This mistaken understanding comes from the lack of knowing the difference between soul and spirit.
The spirit is your program that makes you act as a German or Brazilian, a male or a female, a street-cleaner or a PhD holder, a father or a mother, an orphan or rich parents child a.s.o. and this program is given to you – just as your body. As you can imagine it is hard enough to realize that your body is not your own but to see the same for thoughts, sensations and emotions is even more difficult – totally impossible to comprehend for those who have labored and paid so much at universities to re-install a program that is second or third hand.
Spirits (mental bodies) live much longer than physical bodies and they are even passed on from body to body (re-incarnated) so you are using the matrix, the program, the script (like a theater performer) that has been used/ incorporated already countless times.
Spirits just like any software can have countless hang-ups, they can get entangled with one body or environment (hard to clean from the disk – called past-lifetime re-experiences) or they can become like a computer virus attached to another hardware. Many people do not live their own lives but that of someone else, the idol they admire, the grandparent that they never met, the father or mother that wanted to live on in the lives of their children, the boss or spouse that one accepted as authority.
Spirits can exist with or without a body and the science how to deal, clean, connect with this kind of software is the realm of Spiritism. The Church should not involve with Spiritism — when it was getting entangled with this field, in the middle ages, where it performed all kind of Exorcism work, it lost sight of its real mission to care for the soul. In Brazil the “igreja universal” is the biggest church after the catholic and with them a major part of their service is public exorcism (cleaning/ reseting of human software).
Put in youtube search “igreja universal exorcismo” and you can see dozens of examples like this
and it is not one case once and a while – it is a dozen people who voluntarily come forward on every Sunday (actually they go to church almost daily here) and want to be exorcised. As strange as this sounds for a western mind – people here know that it gives them often a great release and reset – something that western doctors have long forgotten or discarded as witchcraft and hokus-pokus.
There is no country in the world where spiritism is as popular as in Brazil and every child grows up with reading or at least hearing about Chico Xavier who was a very popular medium
(2 million views most probably from Brazil)
and even John of God considers Chico Xavier his teacher and was advised by him where to start his spiritual hospital where he is practicing now for almost 50 years.
However here as elsewhere Spiritists mistake the Spirit for our immortal part, for our consciousness, for that part for which it eventually can be possible to live without a “Heaven and a Hell” as John Lennon was singing here. They are mistaken— the Spirit is designed to live between the polarities of good and bad, happiness and sadness, success and failure, male and female, night and day, heaven and hell – in fact it only made of polarities.
Or naïve new-age philosophies turn those spirits into superior beings like for example in this quote from the laboratory for Advances in Consciousness and Health at the university of Arizona “Contemporary science has the capabilities to establish that we do not live in a spiritless universe, but instead live in a spirit filled universe, and that by collaborating with spirits we have the potential to evolve into a more mature, healthy and loving creative species.” – better start doing this with the incorporated spirits all around you.
“Advanced” researchers RE-discover what was common understanding and practice, full of amazement, what western culture has covered up for the last 500 years, that our software can exist without a body – but they mistake it for some superior beings. Just like 1000 years ago people considered energetic phenomena, like lightening or the rainbow, a manifestation of the divine.
The spirit is also the realm in which the CoRe system works or any other informational modality as well, the REALM OF DUALITY. And if we start to realize this eternal bond and purpose and stop fighting for a life that has only one pole of security, happiness and health this Spirit can become the medium the facilitator the connection to the realm of the soul and a trinity is possible.
The soul is really the main field of religion, of re-ligio, of re-connection with the source, the immortal, non-dual reality.
“Apart from the pulling and hauling stands what I am,
Stands amused, complacent, compassionating, idle, unitary,
Looks down, is erect, or bends an arm on an impalpable certain rest,
Looking with side-curved head curious what will come next,
Both in and out of the game and watching and wondering at it.”
— Walt Whitman (Song of Myself)
Again the new age idea of the Observer really is misleading as it is not an outsider that is “apart” in any sense that we can imagine – so all the new age seekers that choose to leave home and job to become detached and to reach the status of the observer – usually will end up just more desperate. On the contrary – Greatest involvement together with the constant effort of detachment is the way – it needs the constant aim for DLE and Whitman got there by being a nurse and spirit counselor in the wards of the US civil war seeing hundreds of people die in his hands.
This much about the SPIRIT for now, I will write more about the SOUL and the purpose of religion in another post.
